Hi friends, my name is Jo.
Thanks for stopping by, and let me tell you a bit about myself. First of all, I’m a lover of Jesus… with a heart’s desire to love others well, wherever He calls me.
I have been married to my dear husband, Chad, for 26+ years. I am mama to 4 beautiful kids, 2 daughters-in-love, and 1 adorable granddaughter. I am an adoptive mama, former missionary to Cambodia and am passionate about freedom. I love to see people walking in their true identity as sons and daughters.
My heart is to encourage women to dream and live in hope, no matter what the past has held. Many years ago, God put it on my heart to pursue anti-trafficking efforts which I have done overseas and am currently involved in here in Pennsylvania.
Jesus has inspired me to create a space to share my journey and the hope that only He brings! So come along and I pray your heart is encouraged!
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.”
Isaiah 61:1
Things I love the most...
Being married to my husband for 26+ years! He is such a gift to me and he’s my favorite person!
I love heart to heart conversations and mentoring. I love coffee and dark chocolate… as far as coffee goes, my favorite is a half-sweet vanilla latte, and fun fact, my husband and I started and operated a coffee shop in Cambodia!
Traveling and thrifting... need I say more?
I’m an extrovert and enjoy people, yet need some quiet space to process. People like Heidi Baker are an inspiration to me. I admire those who have given up everything to be Jesus’ hands and feet.
I enjoy podcasts that are honest and encouraging. My goal is to read the Word and listen for Jesus’ voice each day, saying “Yes!” to whatever He speaks!
"I could be sitting on the sidelines, in blissful ignorance of the brokenness that surrounds me, enjoying the whole-ness of a sweet and sheltered life. Missing out on the beauty of breaking off pieces of my heart and my life to make another whole."
